AQtime 7 Standard for Embarcadero RAD Studio XE
INSTALLATION NOTES
The following items describe known issues, behavior and functionality that can affect the installation of this product.

To install AQtime Standard for Embarcadero RAD Studio XE, click Continue. Please wait until the installation files are unpacked to a temporary folder. The installation wizard will guide you through the installation process.

Requirements
RAD Studio Version
This edition of AQtime can be installed only if Embarcadero RAD Studio XE is installed on your computer.

Hardware and Software
Intel Pentium II 450 or higher (Pentium 4 1GHz recommended). AQtime also supports the following processors:

Processors of the Intel Core family (Intel Core Duo, Intel Core 2 Duo and others)
Intel Xeon and Intel Xeon MP
Currently, AQtime does not support Intel Xeon multi-core processors with the Hyper-Threading technology.
For instance, it does not support Intel Xeon Duo Core processors with hyper threading.
Intel Pentium 4 (including Intel Pentium 4 supporting Hyper-threading Technology and Intel Pentium 4 Extreme Edition supporting Hyper-Threading Technology)
Mobile Intel Pentium 4
Intel Pentium Extreme Edition, Intel Pentium D, Intel Pentium M
Intel Celeron, Intel Celeron D, Intel Celeron M
AMD Athlon 64 FX

Important: If you use a computer that has several processors or a multiple-core processor (for example, dual-core CPU) and has Windows XP Service Pack 2, then you must install the Windows update #896256 in order for AQtime to be able to profile your application correctly. The update is available on Microsoft’s web site:

Note: AQtime consumes a significant amount of memory to store profiler information, so for large projects, it is recommended that you allocate as much physical RAM as necessary so Windows does not use the swap file.

Installation directory
By default, on 32-bit operating systems, AQtime installs into the following directory:

\Program Files\SmartBear\AQtime 7

On 64bit operating systems, AQtime installs into the following directory:

\Program Files (x86)\SmartBear\AQtime 7

User Account
To install and use AQtime, you must have administrator permissions on your computer. AQtime can be installed and used under different user accounts, but all of them must have administrator permissions.

Running Under Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7
To be used under Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7, AQtime must be launched under an account with administrator privileges.

AQtime and Windows DDK
If you have Windows DDK installed, then after installing AQtime:

Launch Driver Verifier (a tool from the Windows DDK package) and
Disable verification of the aqIPD7.sys driver (the aqIPD7.sys driver is part of AQtime).
Driver Verifier blocks the AQtime driver, so you need to disable verification for the AQtime driver.

Integrating into IDEs
This edition of AQtime integrates into Embarcadero RAD Studio XE. Integration into Microsoft Visual Studio and into earlier versions of RAD Studio is not supported.

Running AQtime 7 Standard for Embarcadero RAD Studio XE
This edition of AQtime can be used only from the Embarcadero RAD Studio XE IDE.
