This is a project wizard for Delphi 5 (and probably 4 and 6) which creates a COM dll that will allow you to provide Explorer with Queryinfo tips for your files. These are the "tool tips" that
appear when you hover your mouse over a file in windows explorer in Windows 2000. Microsoft use this to show you the author, title etc of an office document.

Lots of people have written articles on how to do this yourself in Delphi, but I've managed to create a project wizard that does all the complicated code for you (like implementing IQueryInfo), and simply provides you with one method to implement, in which you can find out details of the file concerned, and return a tip to the user.

The zip file includes the compiled Delphi 5 .bpl file for simple installation, and also all the source code, so if you dont like my indentation you can change it!

Please let me know if you find it useful.

29-Nov-01 Added missing .res file for recompilation.
07-Jan-02 bpl is for Delphi 5 but can be recompiled in D6, you just need to add package designide.dcp to the package before compilation.

I've provided a Delphi6 version on my website.
