U.G. 31/12/2007 - First release
TFileVersionInfo is a component. No need to install, it's a stand alone component, makes calls to GetFileVersionSize(), GetFileVersion() and VerQueryValue() functions, collects necessary version information about the specified file and assigns these information to properties to make our lives a little bit easier.
You can use TFileVersionInfo component to display -as in sample program included- or display your own application's version information in the About dialog or so...

The information will get from the component as follows:
Comments
Internal Name
Product Name
Company Name
Copyright
Product Version
File Description
Trademarks
Private Build
File Version
Original Filename
Special Build

Included sample program is like MS Win's version dialog box, but has a much more info than that.

Happy coding, and a HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!!
Al
