Description
The TatukGIS Developer Kernel VCL (DK) is a comprehensive GIS development component for both Win32 development and manageable .NET development under Delphi 2005/2006. While the DK is excellent for desktop GIS application development, it is also appropriate for the development of enterprise level, multi-user user GIS solutions based on SQL spatial databases layers. In addition to native support of most GIS/CAD vector and raster image data formats, the DK supports the storage and access of vector map data in three SQL database formats: i) OPENGIS® Simple Features for SQL Implementation, ii) native TatukGIS SQL binary method, and iii) Geomedia® SQL Server and Access Warehouse formats.

The DK toolkit is royalty-free for desktop application development and may be used to create server based applications with the purchase of a DK Server Deployment License. A DK trial version for Delphi and C++Builder is available with approximately 45 samples in Delphi and C++Builder. The searchable FAQ material on the www.TatukGIS.com web site provides and extensive knowledge base of help material. A license purchase includes access to TatukGIS e-mail technical support and product upgrade/update/beta versions during the following year.

The TatukGIS Developer Kernel has been on the market since 2001 and is a seasoned and well tested product, used by many hundreds of GIS developers in over 60 countries.

* Opens most ESRI ArcView®, ArcExplorer®, or MapInfo Professional® projects as well as TatukGIS project files
* Support for 26 projections, 225 datums and all coordinate systems defined from them
* A single visual layer/legend/property control for all aspects of the map appearance
* Topological operations, such as buffers, intersections, unions, etc.
* Joins to external SQL databases via ADO/ODBC or DBX
* R-Tree spatial indexing
* Querying based on the geometric relationships between shapes (DE-9IM Model)
* Advanced pixel layer operations, such as histograms equalizations, color coding, layer transparency, etc.
* Thematic mapping, custom rendering, scale control
* Pie and bar charts
* Advanced editing support
* Supports GPS devices
* Address geocoding and optimal routing
* Advanced address parsing with address queries
* CGM and TrueType symbols for points and lines; CGM, TrueType, and WMF symbols for fills
