IP*Works! S/MIME V6 is a comprehensive suite of components for Email encryption and document security. Using the IP*Works! S/MIME components developers can encrypt files, emails, and even newsgroup postings as well as sign and verify message signatures using X.509 digital certificates.
IP*Works! S/MIME implements the S/MIME standard for encryption and decryption using Public Key Cryptography Standards (PKCS).
The current release includes a generic S/MIME component (SMIME) as well as S/MIME enabled versions of the IP*Works! POP3, IMAP4, NNTP, SMTP, FileMailer and HTMLMailer components. In addition, Digital Certificate creation, signing, and management features have also been included to complete the package.
