This is the third article in a series where I study the GOF Design Patterns with implementation examples in C#. This time I am starting to took at the Behavioural patterns.

The program contains documented samples of the following Behavioral Patterns; the Chain of Responsibility, Command and Interpreter patterns. The focus of the article is upon why you want to use the patterns and the benefits that you would obtain.

The program provides annotated examples, and has a display notes mode to give some brief commentary on the patterns.

During the demonstrations I make some use of the following facilities within the .Net framework:
* regular expressions (regex)
* serialization and deserialization
* XML DOM processing (to display XML documentaion produced by the C# compiler during my Notes mode.)

The article is to be published at

Updated 27th October 2004: updated ReadMe, demo program's About box and notes facility with the articles URL now that it has been published on BDN.
