JReport, the best-in-class reporting tool for Java, puts a complete range of sophisticated reporting functionality at users fingertips. It takes full advantage of the scalability, platform independence, and easy integration of J2EE technology to provide a powerful, flexible report delivery solution that fits seamlessly within any enterprise architecture.

JReport Designer is an easy-to-use report design IDE, written entirely in Java, for creating all kinds of simple or sophisticated reports with charts, graphics, barcodes, subreports, cross-tabs, dynamic hyperlinks, and drill-down analysis. It provides a Report Wizard to guide users step-by-step through the report creation process, a drag-and-drop design interface where report layout can be done intuitively, and a Report Inspector that allows users to view and edit objects and their properties with a point and click.

With built-in data connectivity, users can access any ODBC, JDBC, EJB, or XML data source. JReport Designer also provides a User-defined Data API, so users can access virtually any data source.

JReport Enterprise SErver allows users to deploy and deliver reports over the Web in any output format, including HTML, PDF, Excel, XML, Applet, RTF, Email, PostScript, or text. End-users can even design simple reports right from their Web browsers.

It runs on any platforms that supports Java Virtual Machine, including Windows NT, AS400 (iSeries), Solaris, or any flavor of Unix. The servlet architecture allows for seamless and virtually effortless integration into any servlet-enabled application server, including Borland Enterprise Server.
