Description
Windows allows you to associate a file extension with an application that can then be used to open or print files directly from Explorer. However, if more than one file is selected in Explorer multiple instances of the application will be opened by default, one for each file. The way to get all files to be passed to the same application is to register the app as a DDE server for this file extension.
The source code for this article shows how to build such an application with Delphi. Please consult the comments in the source code for details of usage.
