Description
Alfa File Monitor is a file monitoring component and library (for Delphi, VC++ and C++ Builder) that makes it easy to implement file monitoring capabilities into developer's applications.
Alfa File Monitor can monitor all file actions, including:
File create, delete, replace, open, rename (it provides both the new and the old name), close, read, write, flush attribute query, attribute change, file time events, directory create and directory delete (deletion and creation of files and directories is separately reported).
Want to know which process did it? No problem! Alfa File Monitor also provides the process name.
If you need to know failed attempts, Alfa File Monitor also provides notification for events that were attempted but did not succeed, and even provides the error code!
Need to know which user attempted a file action? User name is also provided.
If the underlying OS is a Terminal Server, or if the program is running in a Terminal Session, Alfa File Monitor will also provide the Terminal Session ID. This provides greater detail about file actions, which is especially essential under Windows XP.
Need the exact time when the action occurred? It's also provided. When a file is closed, Alfa File Monitor also tells you how long the file has been opened!
