Description
SwiftMsgParser is available for evaluation and purchase from ComponentSource. Developers can purchase, sell and learn how to build reusable software components for Borland JBuilder™ at ComponentSource, a global marketplace and community for software components and tools.

The component parses the following SWIFT message types : MT 100, MT 196, MT 199, MT 900, MT 910. All SWIFT messages conform to a defined block structure. Each message block contains data of a particular type and is used for a particular purpose.

A typical SWIFT message may consist of the following five blocks:
1: BASIC HEADER BLOCK
2: APPLICATION HEADER BLOCK
3: USER HEADER BLOCK
4: TEXT BLOCK
5: TRAILER BLOCK

Each block is sub-divided into a number of tags followed by their values. Each tag hosts particular information (e.g. Message date, Bank Name, Beneficiary name etc) and are defined in the SWIFT manual.

The following 3 steps explain how the component works:
Input : SWIFT Message String
Output: SwiftMessage Object
Step 1: Parses the message String into 5 blocks.
Step 2: Parses each one of the 5 blocks.
Step 3: Sets the properties of the SwiftMessage object with the values of the tags.

All SWIFT messages are checked for correct syntax and semantics by the S.W.I.F.T. system. The same system verifies the checksum tool.

The evaluation has limited functionality.
