Description
This Opentools editor keymap implementation adds many of the Classic IDE key bindings to the JBuilder IDE editor. These are the key bindings called "IDE Classic" in Jbuilder v3.0 and found in previous Borland products like Borland C++. (The original keymap goes back to Wordstar.)
To use the new keymap, copy the "JBClassicKeymap.jar" file to the "lib/ext" directory of your JBuilder installation. Then, under "Tools|EditorOptions", selection the "ClassicIDE" keymap.
Some of the "IDE Classic" features, like persistent blocks, are not implemented (as I saw no easy way to do so). The 'Backspace' key definition seems to exist in the editor by default (in JBuilder5, anyway), so it had to be removed from these key bindings in order to prevent 2 backspaces on each keystroke. As such, "Alt-Backspace" works as the "Undo" function, but it also generates a backspace deletion.
This implementation used the "UserCUA" and "UserEmacs" OpenTools keymap samples as a starting point. The work of creating the "Ctrl-K" and "Ctrl-Q" sub-keys is done, so adding additional key bindings to these should now be easy.
